A lot of you have probably noticed a trend in the maps that are user-made. If one person comes up with a unique concept, it won't be long before many rip-off maps are made that work exactly the same way. And no longer will that person be recognized as the original creator. If his/her map came up again, everyone would groan and say "Not another one..."

This thread definitely won't put an end to that, but it should at least be helpful to those who don't want to copy off of another person's idea. Please post here with examples of map elements you've seen over and over again.

For example, plank guns. There are probably hundreds of maps that launch planks or other objects at you through use of a rune and a small lava tile. It was cool when I first saw one, but now they're starting to tick me off.

Also, bounce houses. STOP MAKING MAPS THAT ARE NOTHING BUT BOUNCY ROOMS DAMMIT.

Ones where you have to jump down a hole where there's no way of knowing which has the cheese and the ones with no cheese are deathtraps. Grr. That's just luck, and that's not what Transformice is about.

Anything involving a massive amount of chocolate ground
Anything involving a massive amount of bounce/lava
Anything involving hidden cheese/hole in boxes
Anything with stupid pictures
Any level in which you have to get inside a wheel
Any level that should me call "Mouse Playplace"
Any level with slides
And, last but not least, any level with b anchored balls all over it.

Rooms with all of the ground types and random objects scattered all around the map. They just lag up my computer and take no thought to make.

After my piston map, I've been seeing more and more maps using a rotating plank green-anchored to other objects/planks to move objects back and forth(reciprocating motion).

Oh yeah, and there's also maps where some floors act like other floors to throw people for a loop: chocolate acting like lava, lava acting like normal wood, and pretty much any other combination possible. That's just evil.

Maps with writing going -mousename- x -mousename-.
Maps with water which you can't see through.
Maps with lava. Too much lava. FILLED WITH LAVA.
