 New map ideas?

So if the rumors are true and that a map editor is in our future, assuming that you can add any elements that have already been done in existing maps, what sort of maps will you create? Or, if you want to, you could brainstorm new objects, traps, types of wood, and so on. Feel free to go into as much detail as you wish.

For instance, I'd like to see more maps with the red wood. I'd make one where you start on a platform at the center of the very bottom, and above you is a wider, red-wood platform, and above that is the cheese.

Like this:


Solving it would require some very precise ramp-building, or an airship.

Here are some of my ideas.

This one may be too difficult, especially for newer players.
Spawn Point for mice: Middle of map.


This one is Donkey Kong style, where the black dot is the spawn point for bombs. It would have a slower spawn time than the map with a slight ramp and spawning bombs.
Spawin Point for mice: Hole.

Here's another one. This time it's a Double shaman map. The shamans must race down to the bottom of the map to help the mice up the narrow path, or they can wall jump. There really is no strategy for trying to get mice to your own hole (other hole is too far away to block). This can be easily trolled with spawning items from above.
Spawn Point for mice: Cheese.
Spawn Point for Blue Shaman: Top left. Pink Shaman: Top Right.

I just use MS Paint. Nothing fancy. I do, however, try to make it pixel perfect.

ok,so here,youve got to do teamwork,theres one steer buttoon on the balloon that all mice can use,now,the cheese is up,theres invisible spots where you can fallout,hit red wood,die
object here is to be able to get up by steering and teamwork,get the cheese,and jump back down.

Hmm. Tomorrow, I'm going to try and interpret your map. I'll post another image tomorrow, and you can tell me how much different mine looks to yours.

I'll make a make-up and create real looking levels that don't exist!






Here is my first own made level.

First of all, no, that level does not exists. It was made by some of my ideas and, of course, a make-up.

Now, the maps data:

Mice Spawn: In the empty wood platform (in the left-down corner of the map).
Blue Shaman Spawn: In the Pink Mousehole.
Pink Shaman Spawn: In the Blue Mousehole.

Hope you liked it, because I'm already doing more!





And here is my second level.

Mice Spawn: In the empty box at left corner.
Boards Turning Speed: Very fast, like in this level:

Mice spawn: Bottom-most platform.
Shaman spawn: Inside the wooden box.

I'd love to see you try and clear this map with the white spirit. ;D

The shaman can't. He is out of range while in that box. Spirit is the only way to go.

I bet that someone would be able to build a bridge eventually. I mean, you can bridge the gap in Map 10 with a box and two planks. This would be harder, but definitly doable.

There is no bridge creating allowed, since the shaman is born in the box and the range does not allow for him to summon planks and box too far from its spawn point (the shaman's).

You've never seen someone build a bridge on the other map like this? It's possible. It requires World Anchored planks for a surface to build on, and once it's done, you cannon it to make the bridge.

I already see a way that you could make a bridge long enough that it could be reached with the ordinary spirit. Just make a B-plank above the cheese platform so that it cannot rotate, then attach to it an upright plank on a hinge, attach another plank to make it longer and poke the resulting drawbridge so that it falls over the pit. Mice should then be able to spirit over the pit onto the bridge, grab the cheese and use a trampoline to jump to the hole.

It isn't full sized, so full length planks would actually be half the size of the usual. Things would be farther away and could be made impossible to make a bridge that way.

I'm saying that Transformice's screen is 800 x 600, where these pictures here are 300 x 200, so they're just over a third of a Transformice screen. Because of this, things could be more spaced out in the "final version" and thus, making a bridge could be made more difficult.

I don't know. Maybe I misinterpreted your post. Perhaps a bridge could be made doable. We have no way to test it. Razz

Oh, okay. I interpreted the picture as being simply graded down to about one half of the game screen size (my estimate). And yes, making the bridge I described could be made impossible if the hole platform was moved further to the right. Of course, my post wasn't intended as the final and best solution to the problem, it was just a way of making the red spirit unnecessary.

2 of the holes and 2 of the cheese are fake.

You need to get the real cheese to the real hole.

The real cheese and the real hole are different each play and has a random rotation.
